The German Animal Welfare Association has been sounding the alarm for a long time: animal shelters are overcrowded in many places. The intake of dogs, cats, etc. is constantly increasing, while demand is falling at the same time. Fewer and fewer animals can be placed in foster care or for permanent adoption. This year we wanted to dedicate February 20th, the nationwide “Love Your Pet Day”, to these animals who are not lucky enough to live in a loving home. And we dedicated it to the people who, with their charitable work, help to provide animals with a beautiful and healthy temporary home every day: the volunteers in animal shelters.

The valet stand JAMES is a prime example of the latest furniture design combined with outstanding quality and unique character. The design of this special wardrobe, which replaces the "chair", was developed by the renowned design studio BUDDE from Cologne, Germany. The work of Johannes Budde and Meike Papenfuß, who founded the studio in 2019, is characterized by a consistently innovative approach. The valet stand JAMES also represents the design philosophy of the creative duo. In an interview, the duo revealed exactly what this philosophy is based on and what role JAMES plays in it.

Five exciting days at the “MOW - the trade fair for the furniture business” 2023 are behind us and we are almost sad that we have to exchange our beautiful trade fair stand for the office again. This year too it was a real eye-catcher and an important conversation opener.

Metallbude is constantly growing. Not only as a company, but also as a team. We now employ almost 40 people, and with each new hire, tasks are restructured and redistributed. This is sometimes our biggest challenge as a start-up. At the same time, our main concern is to maintain our company culture and not only set an example of modern work, but also make it possible for everyone - regardless of the size of the team. Because when it comes to New Work, our focus is not on digital, but on people.

Metallbude has a reason to celebrate: the company was officially founded on September 25, 2020. Today, the four founders and the team look back on three exciting, emotional and successful years. What started out as a dream, first became a bold idea and later a concrete plan, now enriches your home and our lives in the form of RUBI, LIVIA, DELAYA and Co.

At Metallbude, one highlight follows another - not only in our company, but also in our team. One of them was this year's summer festival, which was much bigger than last year due to our rapid growth. That's why, in addition to good weather, good food and good music, it was above all the large company that made the summer festival a successful event.
